It may be a point already made, but it's a point worth repeating: Forgettable is unfortunately sometimes its namesake. It's not all like that, but it's like that enough for it to be a problem. Overall, the songwriting is pretty solid; it's not the most imaginative stuff, but it's well played and well produced. Some choruses are catchy, and the brevity of the songs helps ideas end before getting too played out or repetitive. The issues lie in the sense that there isn't a whole lot going on in the first place, coupled with some lyrics that are some real eye-rollers. They don't necessarily ruin things, but it doesn't help when there isn't much other than some decently written riffs and hooks to fall back on. Basically, it's an album that could've been a lot funner and a lot more meaningful had certain aforementioned things been done differently. They'd get better though, no question.
