The first time I listened to 'A Walk Through Hell' was the first time I ever really payed attention to a Say Anything song. I sat and just listened to the lyrics, the voice and the music just taking it all in, and I'm pretty sure I realized what I've been missing for so long. I'm happy this interest for the group was sparked with Menorah/Majora cause this seems so overlooked by a lot of Say Anything fans. It's such a sweet little gem though, mostly on the slower side, it captures the two different sounds this band can pull off and shows their ability to craft songs. While this has the ability to be a little awkward to some because of the random jump in sounds, but this EP just doesn't seem to want to be in any order. It just feels like a bunch of songs Max had written at the time that he felt needed to be out, and therefore this EP was created. Forget the randomness though because this is one of those kind of listens that you can just enjoy no matter what mood, it's range is pretty terrific and though the awkward flow is weird, it's an EP worth remembering.
