Not as flawless as Shrines, and a hell of a lot brighter and clearer. I'm not sure if that' a
good change, but as a whole it's a phenomenal electro-pop album when you look at the rest of
the landscape. Need a few more spins to be certain though.

It could be so much better had the music wasn't so mainstream/poppy.rI enjoyed the more ethereal parts, like the beginning of the first track. It (and the lovely cover) promisses something great, but the actual record fails to deliver. rI also hate hate how mainstream and polished the singer sounds. Meh.

A weak followup to one my favourite albums. In their attempt to pull back the deep production, for a more personal release, they are plagued by generic lyricism and a background music that is trying hard to differentiate itself from EDM.

Purity Ring pull back the over-drenched witch house effects of their debut and make a more catchy, focused, poppy sound on Another Eternity. Vocalist Megan Jones drops the odd flat tones of the last album, stays on key, and sounds more confidence over these batch of songs. Purity Ring smartly progress their sound, proving this duo's relevance in a somewhat oversaturated electro-pop era of music.

A couple of duds, and as a whole more vanilla than Shrines, but this is still an extremely pleasant listen. It takes a poppier, more radio friendly approach, but isn't necessarily worse off for it. Megan's voice being higher in the mix is an extremely welcome addition.
