Cheesy as hell, but damn this riffs mega hard. Also the heavy synth driven and bass heavy production, and Hellhammer behind the drumkit makes this impossible to not love. 'Planetary Black Elements' and 'Cariots of Thunder' hit all the right spots...!

One of the greatest black metal albums of the '90s that combines amazing keyboard melodies with memorable riffs, brilliant songwriting and very fitting female vocals by Sarah Jezebel Deva. Featuring symphonic elements, progressive structures and even hints of power metal, Nexus Polaris is a unique trip that sounds as fresh today as the time it was recorded.

So, you got the Norwegian black metal scene then you got The Kovenant, which is still part of the scene but is unique from the other bands. With this album, it has strong progressive tendencies with symphonic and industrial vibes.
