Dark Bird Is Home is a melow and atmospheric album with some sweet melodies in guitar and piano. Very relaxing, easy-listening and as you hear it over and over again the more songs you will like from it. Recommendations: "Darkness of The Dream, "Sagres", "Timothy", "Dark Bird"

I thought I had outgrown all this folky bullshit, but Dark Bird Is Home shows me I still a soft spot for a nice
album like this. The word lush best applies to this, and I never expected to enjoy The Tallest Man on Earth
with a full backing band and a luxury studio treatment, let alone enjoy it this much. But god damn if this
isn't a massively pleasant listen. Is that the other side of the house from The Devil & God?

So far, Sagres sounds like a natural evolution in Mattson's sound. Its just different in terms that Mattson's is using a lot of musical layering which is actually really nice. His voice seems smoother than in the past. Totally looking forward to this!
