Similar to Rehearsal in that the production quality is terrible and that the only people interested in it are fans eager for a peak at the band's beginnings. Sidenote: "Her Begynner Mine Arr..." has some of the worst, most hilarious vocals I've ever heard. You'll know what I'm talking about when you hear them.

Although this demo does give a bit of a peak into Ulvers future, overall, it is very difficult to enjoy for simple listening. The production is god awful, and I know its a black metal demo, but its so bad to the point of irritation. Garms vocals aren't to good either, he sounds much scratchier and perhaps it is the production, but all that matters is that they are hard to enjoy here. Also the song structures are very plain and boring, unlike any of their later work, this lacks the beauty and awe of Bergtatt and lacks the melody and atmosphere of Nattens Madrigal. I guess it doesn't matter since its a demo, but this is nowhere near as good as Bergtatt or anything they have really done since (accept maybe themes).

This is just a glimpse into what kind of band that Ulver would become. This is an excellent demo which many black metal fans should be able to enjoy.
