This one escapes as a low 4, but at this point, I'd like to see Russian Circles take some more risks. There is a lot to like here; if only it sounded a little more fresh. EDIT: Yeah, it's a 3.7 now. Juuuuust a bit too phoned-in at times.

I think the balance from Up-tempo sludge to standard fare post-rock was perfectly in balance. Vorel is the perfect example of this. r

Solid post metal, but it was much more mellow than I would've liked. I'm not saying it necessarily should have been heavier, just that some more uptempo songs would have helped the flow.

Decent offering, but on first listen sounds like not the best they have done. They're branching too far from post-metal into post-rock in my opinion.

I think it's a really good album, I find some song really epic (the end of Afrika for example). It may be a little hard to digest by the richest of the sound some times but it's really enjoyable.
