Lawd, this man, unstoppable. Contrary to what most would expect from Taylor, this is fairly
subdued by his standards, especially if you judge based on his live performances rather than LP
ones, but for my money this is Taylor's best studio LP - Arguably the most accessible of all too,
but it also contains all of the hidden finesse and sting-like-a-bee, ever-collapsing melodies,
played in a more mellow manner than usual allowing for a somewhat more laid back sound that never
really lurches at you violently, but seems to wish to do so in its eyes, never quite taking the
stop though, but it doesn't feel like it's too scared to - Rather, it knows it doesn't need to.
Good starting point to the work of this legend.

Free jazz that is very, very free. Taylor hits dem piano notes, but the notes themselves are gay free. It's not just that it's atonal - that'd be too easy -, it's rather that the rhythmic patterns are nearly undecipherable. However, when the voluntary messiness leaves some space, it's amazing how engaging it is. Still, three listens in, I'm trying to know if I like it or not. We'll say, uhm, yes but not that much? An interesting record nonetheless.
