For what this album tries to achieve, one can call it successful. It contains some nice melodies and vocal lines, a few catchy riffs, and for background music it is a fairly good choice. However, it is so polished, radio-oriented and harmless that rubs me the wrong way. Nevertheless, this might just be me.

A little bloated or overlong, definitely feel it needs to be cut down to 11 tracks, though there's plenty in here that I enjoyed listening to.

Stone Sour songs fall into one of two categories: they either have a good enough chorus to be enjoyable songs or they don't. Fortunately, for the most part, Hydrograd's choruses are pretty good. However, a shitty version of the Jump in the Fire riff does not make for a good title track, in case some body was wondering that for some reason.
