Listening to stuff released by bands clustered as "The Great Old Ones" is a bittersweet and cynical affair, but rest assured that cynicism will fly out the window when your own ears will tell you that Firepower is pure classic metal sweetness. Favorite songs: Traitors Gate, Evil Never Dies, No Surrender.

If this is where it ends for Judas Priest, I'll be more than content. Containing elements from various stages in their discography and an amazing performance by Rob Halford, Firepower will go down not only as a surprising comeback but also one of Priest's more solid efforts. Albums like this one attract new metalheads and this is Firepower's biggest achievement.

When Judas Priest released Redeemer of Souls, I said that they should just stop releasing
new records as they've done all they can with their sound. Then they respond with this, the
best album they've done since Painkiller.

WOW!!! This album blew me away, and is in my humble opinion the best they've put out since the late 80's. I don't think they'd top this with any new release after, and is really a great place to end an amazing career. Really goes back to the roots, and is pure Priest through and through. ROCK ON!

Best album since Painkiller. Vocals and drums kick some serious ass, can't belive they are ralmost 70, riffs great as always. This is rsome great Judas Priest right here.

I can not for the life of me figure out why people think this matches anything priest has made in the past. At it's best, it's passable. But the album is far too long with barely any substance along the way. Pass.

A friend of mine recommended this, told me this was better than the Angel Witch LP from a few years ago. Guess what? They were fucking wrong. This is total AIDS, and I never want to listen to this album or anything new from this band again.

Firepower is by far the best thing they did the last 28 years. Although the album is energetic, I don't feel energy was the missing element from past albums. What was missing was solid songwriting and this album displays their best songwriting in almost three decades.

I definitely dislike Judas Priest, and i cannot stand the vocals of Rob Halford. I've never been a fan of the biggest hits either, and i've listened to the band's works a few times. As my opinion is shallow and with little knowledge about the band's discography, i only get my first and only impression of "Firepower". Boring.
