Preferred this by far and away over the previous despite both being acclaimed. Still not flat out blown away though, the final track once again just didn't hit it for me and took up roughly 20% of the runtime.

Super-real album. I more prefer WBAFBR, because i love those breakdowns on it. But what i love about Zao is that, you can hear real emotions through this cool mess. Especially in Intro track, no lyrcis, just music. One of the strongest (possibly strongest track from this album).And this Lp catch me with more emotions than the one before. This album brings their definitve 100% awesome sound. One of the best/unique production in metalcore i ever heard.

Dark, Heavy, Powerful and emotionally captivating.
Following up album such as ,,Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest" can be pretty tricky task, however Zao follows it up confidently with record that shows their natural progression, growth and their desire to experiment with darker production, soundscapes and structures.
,,Liberate te Ex Inferis" might have very similliar core sound to ,,WBAFBR" yet both of them have their own unique nature to them. On one hand you have the extremelly raw and passionate sound of ,,WBAFBR" and on the other hand you have ,,Liberate te Ex Inferis" Dark, experimental, difficult and heart shattering album filled with dark soundscapes and schizophrenic instrumentation.
There is easily no other metalcore band capable of making as dark and scary music as Zao
Sonically ,,LTEI'' is another long way into the depths of your awful-self presented through visceral screaming,
emotionall and crushing instrumentation.

A darker and more experimental fair than the previous outing and easily matches up and possibly surpasses its predecessor. Zao retain their intense vocals, hard riffing, and variation with a darker atmosphere to boot. A definite essential for fans of metalcore.

An album that proves you don't need your music to be industrial- you heard that Trent Reznor -or death metal to make your album "brutal." This album barely ties w/ Naked City's self-titled album, and manages to do so w/o the use of an industrial feel like that of Naked City, which I found intriguing. Sonically, the tracks combine a mixture of stoner rock fuzz, sludge metal time measures, and hardcore vocal delivery. This album though is still slightly underneath Acid Bath's first album. Aside from that minor detail, this is one of the few Christian metal albums worth owning!
