Playing like a mix of Foxes and Pale Horses but dreamier, this ep hold more experimentation with tone and textural embellishment than I've previously seen from MwY. While it initially comes off as sleepy and uninspired, if you put a little extra work in, you'll uncover another impressive and intriguingly ambient addition to this band's wonderful canon

Some songs feel a little lost, while others are perfect. The last two tracks, as well as Cities of the Plains, are my early fravorites. As the album art indicates, this is a condensed, quiet little ball of ideas...which will explode into whatever the LP is bringing us.

Beautiful, strange, and unlike anything mewithoutYou has ever done before. All the same subdued, folky, and experimental. This EP has mewithoutYou going in directions I never would have imagined. However, the only thing tying these tracks together is their departure from the usual band's sound. A fun listen and appetizer platter to tide us over until October.
