On their album October Rust, Type O create not only a dark an sludgy affair but something insanely beautiful and catchy that also pulls on your heart strings. Believe it or not this should be everyone's go to October album, with amazing songs like Love you to Death, Red Water, Burnt Flowers Fallen, and Wolf Moon this album perfectly encapsulates the feeling of fall and the dark beauty that comes with it.

An amazing album very ambitious and different from other bands at the time. An obvious step up from their previous album and a more cohesive feeling album than ?Bloody Kisses.? Every song here transitions beautifully into each other and shows the band?s incredible songwriting abilities.

For me, TON had a very sort prime in the 90's with "Bloody Kisses" as the glittering black crown. For me, "October Rust" was their swan song. I especially enjoyed "Wolf Moon" and, of course, there's the epic "Green Man." "Love You to Death", "Be My Druidess", "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend" are all solid tracks. I don't like covers usually but "Cinnamon Girl" is all the right kind of dark and catchy.

Beast of an album. Type O neg approach their shoegazy grunge rock influences and make this doom, slow, sludgy work of art that haunts you and makes fun of you at the same time. A classic in spirit, but there are still tracks that don't do it for me. Sometimes I skip "Green Man," "Die With Me," and "Burnt Flowers Fallen" because they don't do much more than state the theme and repeat it. I think I'm the only person who doesn't care for the cover of "Cinnamon Girl." That said, every other song on here is a legendary TON cut. Pete Lives.
