3.5 great | itchy | March 4th 11 | I can tell this album will grow on me with time. The clean vocal delivery is shaky and timid, which is kind of disappointing to me at the moment. I find the more comfortable-range growls and higher shrieks to be the most palatable here. The deep growls (such as those used in the opening vocals of the title track) don't do it for me because they don't feel as genuine in the midst of such genuine music. One of the things I really like is the layout of the album, with the three dense and long songs separated by the two short, soft pieces! It makes a lot of sense and helps the cohesiveness of the album.

4.0 excellent | Andrew | February 6th 11 | Great album. I don't exactly stand by all of the opinions of this that I had back when I wrote my 5.0 review but I do still quite love this.

5.0 classic | Jelliot | January 16th 10 | Sublime, an album I go to listen to once and end up playing on loop for the rest of the evening. The songwriting is perfectly paced, guttural vocals are understandable, clean vocals are like a more emotive, fragile Mikael Akerfeldt, and the soft sections are achingly beautiful. I award this release 5 Jelly points : )
