As much as I enjoy the work of Radiohead, this debut album by Ed doesn't speak to me at all. I my opinion there is not one exciting song on here. This is due to weak songwriting and uninteresting instrumentation. Take "Deep days" as an example: the hook on this song is just forgetable and feels even more boring due to the long runtime. My favourite track on here would probaply be "Olympik", which I find almost decent.

Like everyone else, I love me some Radiohead; but I can't help but feel like this album won't have that much relevance after the year's over. It seems like Ed had some pretty average ideas for rock standards, put them in an album, and executed them with above-average mixing and production.

Ed's influences are way too apparent in places and many tracks feel more like mood pieces than actual songs, but it sounds like he had a lot of fun making this and I did quite enjoy it, even if that was just because it reminded me of his work with Radiohead
