abyss of time is an excellent tarja-era nightwishy track minus the worthless narration and breakdown, but skeleton key is completely ruined by extremely incongruent meshuggah chugs. other tracks are quite avg until they finally come together at the end, but vast majority of tracks need mid to heavy editing to be listenable. rivers is a nice callback to tides of time, synergize quite energetic, typical mid to good closers in twilight n title

it didn't need to be such a long album as it's fairly stylistically and tonally consistent the whole way through, but at the end of the day Omega is just Epica doing Epic, solid symphonic metal as always.
