NoFx has always had that goofy, immature vibe, and because of that, I think some of their albums aren't held in as regard as they should be, especially within the pop-punk realm. And yes there is a song about getting a very painful STD, that song is a beautifully played Calypso track. Some of the other songs are about racial identity, Jewish heritage, DIY ethics, admiration for their predecessors and contempt for the government among others. The music is well done pop punk, some of the songs are really fucking fast, and the band has a little more technical skill and willingness to do things like have a cheesy, 80's style solo on a song, that other bands in the genre don't have. As is often the case with longer albums, Punk in Drublic looses a little bit of momentum towards the end, but overall, this a great album. Best songs are Linoleum, Leave it Alone, Dig, My Heart is Yearning, The Brews, Dying Degree and Punk Guy.

What I consider the iconic "punk" album. Copious amounts of beer, good-times, and one too many stories we'd probably rather forget went into this album and will continue to if NoFX has anything to say about it. Truly an enjoyable album through-and-through 4/5
