Let’s get one thing straight; this is not a split, but rather a compilation and in doing this, Pyramids with Nadja have constructed a spacious album full of awe and wonder. Given that the two bands come from not-so-similar styles of music has allowed both bands to cover a vast amount of territory consisting of shoegaze, drone, and hints of black metal and indie, making this an incredibly uneasy listen for anyone remotely interested in the genre. However, if being drawn into lush soundscapes for a full hour is your thing, you had better add this to your list. Prepare yourself for a ride that will take you places you couldn’t even imagine.
