Best Fear Factory album in a while, in terms of quality it sits somewhere between Obsolete and Demanufacture. This is how Fear Factory is supposed to sound.

A lot of Fear Factory fans dislike the two albums without Dino, but I’ve always appreciated them — Archetype for its generic ‘best of’ Fear Factory sound, and Transgression for daring to try something different and mostly succeeding (even if it wasn’t really a Fear Factory album). On the other hand, the first album where Dino returned to the band, Mechanize, reminded me (and anyone else that liked the previous two releases) why there is no Fear Factory without Dino. Mechanize was a collection of everything that made Fear Factory great in the beginning without any of the extraneous influences that came later. Mechanize was heavy rhythmic riffs locked in with double bass, violent shouts and powerful clean singing, industrialized effects, and strong songwriting. It was the sound of a band reinvigorated – a band ready to prove to fans that they were back and ready to push the Fear Factory name to levels it hadn’t occupied in years. The following two releases never lived up to the potential found on Mechanize, but they were still solid Fear Factory releases.

This is the best FF album since Obsolete. I only gave it one listen so far, but it might be even better than Demaufacture in time. Dino's return sparked a great return to form on this album and they went back to the old sound they had before Archetype and Transgression. Burton sounds as great as ever too. Oh, and Gene Holgan is a monster behind the kit on this. Its awesome.

Fear Factory just became relevant again. With Dino's signature sound and Rhys on production they brought back the old Fear Factory while creating something heavier than any previous effort besides Soul Of A New Machine. Burton is Burton, Always good. Dino is Dino, Always Dino. Gene is sick, and keeps the signature FF beat while throwing some Gene blast beats in like a boss. Byron is great on bass too, it's even audiable occasionally, woo.
Fear Factory are back, It'll be cool for you to like them again now so you can stop hiding. MECHANIZEEEEEE MECHANIZZEEE MECH CAN FUCKING EYES.

After a major dispute over the Fear Factory name, the reborn Fear Factory produced what I believe is their finest release. 'Mechanize' is heavier, faster, but also more memorable than even their classic releases. In addition, "Final Exit" is not only the best song on the album, but the best Fear Factory song in general.

for me this is the best fear factory album after demanufacture and soul of a new machine. this album has everything. mechanize, controlled demolition and powershifter are kick ass songs. but the best in the album for me is final exit, the perfect combination of clean voice and growls or whatever that is

Whatever happens between FF guys, let the music speak! - Dino and Burton confirmed who's the real fear factory, altough much respect for Christian and Raymond. Gene Hogland's drumming is like from another dimension, just amazing... but it's style is quite obvious - Raymond Herrera. Anyway, it's fantastic album, reminder of Demanufacture days.
