I came into this just expecting it to be better than the last two albums, but this blew my
expectations away truth be told. They sound very revitalized (which is ironic considering
the AI art lol), the features are great, and they all sound tight. Good job ABR, best since
FiFAP easily

I very much enjoyed the "cringey" spoken word intro. It gave Jordan Dreyer I run for his money. This band has always had trouble trying to shake things up but I think they finally found it whenever they occasionally wander into deathcore-esque territory while still maintaining to steer the ship back to their signature sound. This was a success.

The pre-release singles kind of led me to believe this would be just another average August Burns Red release (which would have still been good, just nothing special). Instead this is probably the strongest, most consistent, release they've had since... I don't even know because every other ABR album has been good, but not very memorable. This is kind of epic-ish, melodic metalcore, but played with a conviction and at a level I haven't heard from these guys in a while. Yeah, it doesn't break new genre ground or anything, but this is played well and is memorable. I'll take it.

Best theyve riffed in years. Not really all that different than their other records, it's still mostly their signature sound, just somehow a huge step up in quality

They *kinda* sound reinvigorated here. Not that they're back to their late noughties' form, but: some riffs are actually good, some bass can be heard (!!!), some tracks try to do something than their traditional chuggy chug chug fest. Gotta say the majority of this is typical ABR, but not shitty like the last one. Woo! Not that woo, but you get me.

Wow; Im rather surprised because the singles didnt really interest me at all, but they are BY far the weakest on the
album.
The Cleansing, Revival, and Dark Divide are some of their best songs in a while. There’s a little prog, the
deathcore moments shine, spoken word is back, and even some electronic elements we haven’t heard much of on ABR

If there was a tsunami. I find this pretty enjoyable and engaging. My inner bass player is quit
amazed. It's awesome. Maybe, I say maybe, Death Below is my first serious AOTY contender this
year, what is strange, after 40 albums that I'm in.
