Dashboard's second release marks a small progression from their debut, but it feels much fresher. The 29 minute run time actually works heavily in this album's favor in regards to the 40 something time of the debut. This album is quick, straight to the point, and cuts like a knife. This feels like a diary that's been exposed for the world to see. You can feel the pain in the voice and the words sting, but you find comfort in the warm acoustic nature of the songs. This album can be played over and over seamlessly, and never overstays it's welcome. This is the best Dashboard Confessional album. Once they're sound moved to a full band, electric, sound, part of the beauty disappeared. Although the others albums aren't all that great, this one is worth it.

people can point to 'Hands Down' or 'Stolen' as the best Dashboard Confessional song, but to do so would be to ignore one of the many tuly brilliant songs on here. This is Chris Carraba opening up his entire world for us; every word is genuine, every note timed impeccably, and nearly every part of the album perfect in terms of synchronicity, flow, and execution.
