4.0 excellent | rentford | October 30th 07 | Sure, you could call Acceptance your regular, run-of-the-mill pop-rock band; however, with the strong, yet soothing vocals of lead Jason Vena, coupled with a bunch of simple, yet extremely catchy riffs, it's easy to call Acceptance pop-rock at it's best.

3.5 great | pepster50 | January 9th 13 | A mixed bag of soft and heavier pop-rock songs makes this a pretty cohesive record. Some hit, some miss. Some songs are a little too repetitive with their chorus. Though the album boasts a pretty short and sweet instrumental song. The vocalist is also a highlight; his tone is quite nice. Ultimately it's nothing absolutely special but a pretty solid album. A shame they broke up.

4.5 superb | MrSenior | March 27th 10 | Proof that as cliched as this genre has gotten, when performed correctly, it has the potential to be fantastic.

2.5 average | LifeAsAChipmunk | July 4th 12 | Plain is probably the best way to describe this band. They are you your average alternative pop rock band relying on catchy hooks, simply riffs, and some amount of emotion to grab it's listeners. Unfortunately, the album as a whole gets incredibly stale incredibly quickly. Literally half or more of the album is composed of (mostly boring) ballads. In addition, while the faster tracks are great in the moment, they are hardly memorable. This staleness even becomes very apparent within a song - because the chorus is repeated so often and the bridges rarely improve upon the song, there is little reason to listen to the whole songs within the album. Phantoms is structurally and thematically boring (every single song with the exception of the closer has to do with girls). The worst part is that the lead singer tries so hard so often to be emotional but utterly fails because the lyrics are so damn vague to the point of meaning absolutely nothing but a cheap attempt at trying to be deep.
