3.5 great | Jim | July 24th 10 | Birds of Tokyo's self-titled album could well catapult them into the echelons of mainstream success, with its slick production and endearingly softcore balladeering. However, the harder edges on their previous releases will be missed by the current faithful, and some meandering filler doesn't add up to what could have been an entirely consistent effort. Solid but stolid.

1.5 very poor | AtavanHalen | February 2nd 11 | Dear Kenny,
Be less shit. You used to be one of my vocal heroes before you phoned in this particular piece of shit. Your home is in Karnivool, stop wrecking everything with the pedo-looking dude, the pro-wrestler looking dude and the boring drummer dude. Fuck you.
Best,
Atavan

4.0 excellent | PistolPete | April 2nd 11 | Not reaching the caliber of its predecessor "Universes" but still so catchy and intriguing. There is a lack of hits, but the overall record is easy to run through without wanting to skip any particularly bad songs. Ian Kenny is still outstanding and one of the best vocalists I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. As of now though, I'm definitely waiting more avidly for the next Karnivool album than the next from this band. Recommended Songs: In the Veins of Death Valley, The Gap, Murmurs, Waiting for the Wolves

0.0 | LG | July 26th 10 | Ian Kenny has always had an amazing voice, and when a band is gifted with the mere presence of his voice, they are immediately catapulted into success. Unfortunately not even Ian is able to save this album from dying in the shit from which it was created. Scratch that, it's better then I originally thought.
