Aaron Weiss has said something about this EP being a huge downer on him in his life. I must agree, it hurts me to know something like this exists from one of my favorite bands of all time.

The debut EP from post-hardcore/indie rock stalwarts mewithoutYou is a pretty strange affair, and not just due to the fact that the band heard here is miles away from the one that made albums like It's All Crazy! It's All False! It's shoddy recording quality is the main detractor here, as it leaves much to be desired on all fronts. The songwriting leans more towards screamo than anything else, and the raw emotion on display from Aaron Weiss is apparent even then. Things take a turn for the weirder with the ending two minutes of "There Is Hope For A Tree Cut Down", in which horrific screaming and unearthly noises make an unpleasant and jarring atmosphere. It's not what one would call enjoyable, but it's definitely indicative of the forward-thinking nature of the band, not content with being a normal post-hardcore group.

there is one creepy song on here, its very un-mewithoutyou. Women talks about how you are going to burn in hell. Thats the only memorable song. No need to look here unless you LOVE mewithoutYou. Even then just pass

Okay ep. similiar to A to B Life. Its heavier. Only complaint is the recording quality which is pretty shitty.
