For a debut by a group of individuals still young enough for high school at the time, Eden Fire isn't too shabby. Granted, it's essentially generic metalcore that we've seen and heard done better by other bands. But there are enough stronger moments present here that make the album at least worth a chance.

Just heard this album and couldn't find anything particularly unique. Now, I actually like metalcore (some of it anyway), but a lot of the bands just aren't anything special, and Sonic Syndicate are no different. They are basically a Killswitch Engage clone. Only a lot less catchy and talented. Just another run-of-the-mill metalcore group.
