pretty ecstatic that she put out another album. especially for someone who gets judged as a "copy cat" to lil mama or even gets told that she is the "next missy elliot" shes doing a hell of a job!

Bad bitch go bubblegum. It's indeed more pop than rap, yet braggadocio is the album's main theme, and it simply does not fit with the chosen aesthetic. Plus it's mostly flavorless, a succession of samey tracks with dated beats and lazy performances.

Equipped with a super bass that has a mind of its own and multiple personalities a la Eminem if he had a sex change, Pink Friday demonstrates Nicki Minaj's desire to talk the talk far more than actually bothering to walk the walk. This is pretty sad, especially if you take into account just how much potential this 'Harajuku Barbie' has.

Disappointed. She had the potential to be the next Lil Kim but I guess she let the sudden fame get to her because this is just kind of bland pop and the rapping is just ehhhh. Some of the production is so sugary it's ridiculous but some of it feels futuristic. I guess the main positives about this is some of the good production and that beyond all of the meh rapping and choruses and singing, Nicki's bubbling personality shines through all of it and makes it hard to hate her.

This is not a great album. But...it is the funniest shit I have EVER HEARD. Seriously. I don't know how else to react to lyrics like "if I had a dick I'd pull it out and piss on 'em," or "RAWR RAWR, LIKE A DUNGEON DRAGON!" except with hysterical laughter.

She has promise as a lyricist and I really enjoy her flow, but this album comes across as a pop album first, rap album second. If she gets her priorities in order, she has the potential to become my favorite female rapper.
