This album proves that Mindcrime is not the only good album Queensryche is capable of making.

In this album, Queensryche had begun to show just how imaginative they are. Geoff Tates singing are at it's best in this album, in my opinion.

A dark, conceptual and progressive album that gets Queensryche infinitely close to their Mindcrime peak. All the elements aren?t as refined as they are on Mindcrime though, and the production has its flaws.

Not quite reaching the fantastic heights that Mindcrime reached, Queensryche still put out a fantastic album that shows growth from their last, leading up to their pinnacle achievement, Operation Mindcrime.

This is the album on which Queensryche formally begins to use their progressive sound. They would only sound like this for two more releases however, since later on they would embrace an alt-rock sound. While most of the songs on here are classics, the "Gonna Get Close to You" cover and "The Killing Words" feel out of place for me. But, other than that, this album opens and closes wonderfully, and you really shouldn't miss it.

To be honest the first impression wasn't very good but after a while I really start enjoying Rage for Order. All songs here are great but my favourites are Walk in the Shadows, The Killing Words, The Whisper and specially Screaming in Digital. They played this song on Priest's Epitaph show and it was really amazing. Smart Metal.
