While there are some okay songs in it, O:MII is mostly a train wreck. The songs are very poorly arranged, the concept itself is weak, and the good songs lack punch. An album that only diehards might be interested in, but casual QR fans should stay away from.

Given the simple, unnecessary plot and the expectations to meet, it's tough to find a reason that this album really should have been added to the band's discography. Though there are occasional shining moments, these are ultimately negligible compared to the above average at-best material that comprises the entire album.

I rate this album so poorly, because I think Queensryche really ruined the storyline for Mindcrime, and the music doesn't really match up to the original. I really wish it could be erased from the history, because it's just such a let down from Mindcrime I.
