Why does Rihanna insist on grunting "yeh yeh yeh" in almost every song? Even when you think you're free from it for one song, it's hidden somewhere sneaky as if she is trademarking her work. Well Rihanna, perhaps it was the repetitive chants in Umbrella that punched me in the gentles but every time "ella ella" or "yeh yeh yeh" is moaned out of tune to fill in blanks, I feel like I'm being branded and cringe a little. "We Found Love" is the winner here. The rest will burn through the clubs one single at a time and the drunks won't even remember them.

Rihanna continues the "dancehall-influenced dance-pop to rock the club" persona, and it kinda works in the first half. Said first half is full of pop hooks and electro boom-booms and clap-claps, and I'm pretty sure you heard these songs at a party - whether you liked it or not. However, the second half starts using repetition to such an aggravating degree that, although only 37 minutes long, almost manage to annoy you. I almost cried at that XX cover. Shame, it started well.

The first half of this made me think it was unfairly underrated because of its club/EDM inclinations. 1 is ok, 2 has a silly intro but is dancy and I kinda dig it before its latter third which is silly again, and 3 albeit the simplest track imaginable with two notes and a kick snare pattern is saved by nice catchy vox, and I would be lying if I said I don't find it fun. 4 is for once, a successful feat, with the rest being an ok track. So far so good, 2.5-3.0 range stuff. Then 5 and 6 are some of the worst Rihanna tracks yet, 7 is a short ok relief before 8 annoys us again on top of semi-plagiarizing the XX. 9 and 10 really aren't all that bad but by that point the album starts to get on your nerves, and is only bumped a point up thanks to an ok-ish emotional closer. An excessively long downhill ride. 1.8

I'm almost about sick about every techno beat ever brought to the mainstream much like this album. Talk that Talk doesn't show anything interesting except for the ballad We All Want Love. I would enjoy Jay-Z's contribution to Talk that talk if Rihanna didn't have such bad vocals. The melodies are also not as memorable. Rihanna should be glad that she got this far but I think it's time to hang up the towel.

all i got to say is we found drugs in a coke-less place and cockiness she loves it.....seriously why you guy take it so serious about nowadays music ....come grow up and realize nowadays pop artist are just eye candy to entertain only two in biz can actually sing Rhianna and gaga but what? do they perform good songs.... nope 1 and every 5 song they make is good ....now if u guys wanna hear some dope ass , sexy, feetmoving, pop, go listening some 90s pop ..now thats real pop...i recommend Madonna,Crystal Waters, Lisa Stanfield , Suzanne Vega...yep thats shits tha shit
