I mean, if you think that this is the be all, end all of tech death and are still convinced that these guys communicate to a higher God with their supposed classical music structures and note orientation, you shouldn't be listening to metal...PERIOD!

This album just shreads all over the place. Wonderful return from the band, I went in with no expectations. Wasnt a huge fan of the older stuff, mostly I thought the guitar tone was too thin. Not this time!!

The only thing keeping me from giving this a perfect score is the fact that the guitar tone is too thin and often sounds mechanical, which what initially turned me off to the album. If the guitar had more meat, this would be pretty much perfect. This is probably the most rich and complex tech death album ever released.

Incuroso continues Spawn of Possession's legacy of being the titans in the technical death metal realm, with riffs that leave you deprived of oxygen and solos that are seemingly inhuman. The closing track is The Apparition is a masterpiece, adding in symphonics to their already crushingly dense sound. Scrambled Defuncts - Souls Despising the God has a very similar feel, just without the big studio budget.

Meaty tech death with complex dueling guitars, octopus drumming (yah it's tech death), and a PHAT bass. Love me some phat bass. Shame the songwriting, while strong per se, isn't that memorable - the best moments here aren't the solis or the povnding riffs, but rather the one-two seconds right before it shredz.

Think of basically every modern Tech-Deat band and their issues. Sure, they can play, and boy, how they can play! Can they write memorable parts though? Not really. Credit where it is due for The Evangelist though.

Most tech-death bands bore the hell out of me to the point that I will fall asleep listening to them in the car while going 80 on the freeway (I'm looking at you Beyond Creation) but this is a rather fine record. Does it sound like a lot of other tech albums? Ya.. But there is something about the guitar riffs and melodies that make this one stand out and appease my ear drums.

Technical death metal with balls!!! One of the best modern tech death metal albums of the last years. All the album is flawless with killer tracks like "Bodiless Sleeper", "Deus Avertat", "Spiritual Deception" and of course, "Apparition".

Despite not liking this for a while, I think it deserves credit for pulling off a generic tech death style quite well and a way that is quite well structured by the genres standards. I enjoy it a lot more now that I don't take it so seriously.

I could go on, and on, about how this music is more like classical than anything, about how richly complex it is, about everything that makes it special and remarkable, etc., but I really don't want to gush - I legitimately have more to say, but I'll keep it short, because I know these words are lost on countless idiots who will never be able to appreciate more advanced music - and leave with this:
This is the highest form of music being produced today, the only music truly pushing into any new territory. A masterpiece.
