(9/12/15) Definite improvements on the instrumentals by taking sprinkling in more of their guitar distortions, and the vocals sound more pleasant than from their first album where even their romantic-oriented songs sound pretty decent. But still a tad short of being a 4/5 rating.

Objectively speaking this release is a bit different from what the band did previously. All that aggressiveness and rawness of the EP and the debut do not exist here and this will of course caused a loss of fans. However, ''Imago'' shows a mature band who knows what is doing and where to move. The vocal style, music and production are excellent. Personally, I think this is the band's best record and one of the best I've ever heard as it is spotless from beginning to end.

The album is consitantly awesome throughout. The bass lines are probably some of my favourite bass lines ever. The guitarwork is unqiue and complex. The vocals are strong and emotional with exceptionally well crafted lyrics. Drumming is very solid, and really completes the tight unit that The Butterfly effect it. The album is heavy at times, so emotional at times and contains so many different elements and structures.

I think this review is pretty spot on. Ive been listening to this album flat out for weeks, and can't seem to get enough of it. There is not a single track on the album that seems out of place, it flows quite well. Can't wait to see them live!!!
