Even better than his debut in many ways, Meola drops a lot of the pure wanky shreddery for more musical playin, and man does it pay off. Additionally, this album includes no weird filler tracks and is just pure jazz-fusion mastery.

Wonderfully performed guitar-centric rock/jazz/acoustic. The production is absolutely perfect, the songwriting is glorious... it's maybe a bit short, but, seriously, just listen to this thing. "Race with Devil on Spanish Highway" is particularly phenomenal.

My father got me into this record, and while he and I no longer get along, it reminds me of good times in years past. As a guitar player, it both inspires and keeps me grounded, simultaneously reminding me of how much there is to learn, and how far I have to go!

Race With the Devil on Spanish Highway could potentially push this albums rating to 5 all by itself to be honest, incredible stuff. It's great when you get into an album like this, with such variety and attention to dynamics...simply brilliant
