As a big Eve 6 fan, I really hate to say that I was disappointed with Speak in Code. Well, ambivalent. I thought the two singles, Victoria and Lost & Found, were pretty darn good, but the rest of the album didn't really live up to what I was expecting. I think the problem is that it doesn't take itself seriously... at all. Eve 6 has always been lighthearted, but I thought this went a little too far, into silliness territory at times. The "woo woo woo" intro to Situation Infatuation made me die a little on the inside, and there were some other less serious offences that I won't mention in specific.rI really liked the tune of Blood Brothers, but somehow I don't see myself in the car singing aloud, "WE USED TO / GO BOWLING!" anytime soon. Fun, and lighthearted, but everyone else will probably think you're retarded.rI don't think this album is bad, I think it's more an issue that it isn't what I wanted it to be. I wanted fun, lightheartedness, clever lyrics, and catchy tunes... and I got that. But I would have preferred it if it wasn't in a package I'd feel slightly embarrassed about listening to.rVictoria, B.F.G.F., Lost & Found, Moon, and Pick Up The Pieces were my favorites, and I'll probably append them to the end of a burned copy of It's All In Your Head. As for the rest of the album... Sorry Eve 6, it's not you, it's me. Can we still be friends?
