A word to those that may initially be put off as I was by the creepiness, both generally and especially in the lyrics; persist. It helps to think of some of the shorter tracks, such as "Welcome to Bangkok" as not so much songs in themselves, but connectors, plot devices of sort (not to play down how good they are). Yes, it's hard to see through the offputting stuff initially, but once you get over that, you realise just how gloriously good this is; it is very much worth it. |
