I?m sorry but this EP is something special, and I might be biased because TYS is one of the greatest modern progressive rock and metal bands of my generation, but they somehow boil down their expansive and intricate sound into a 20-minute EP which is something to really behold. Each of the four tracks here showcases their masterful musical minds with intricate and expansive soundscapes of jazz and rock music. However, it?s not only that the lyrical content dives heavily into the last two years with the pandemic and what that has done to this band. A great showing and a great introduction to this great band if you have never listened to them.

The First Half is great. Second half...not so much. It has interesting moments but that's
about it. Soul Diver has an annoying guitar squeal that I hope to never hear again. Overall,
the odd production on this EP really hinders the listening experience. The vocals are buried
in the mix, but suddenly they'll come piercing at you. A cymbal crash is buried in the mix
while a trumpet blasts in your ear. Very odd mixing.

Just listened this...it was atrocious...not just a step back from Terraformer, it is a fucking
divebomb with a triple backwards flip. The songs are boring and the singer makes you pierce your
eardrums with an infected needle.

Really great musicianship on this like all other previous efforts. The last song is about the pandemic (go figure) and has some really cringe lyrics.
