Album is good. This 2/3rds is better than the other 1/3rd. Album is not better than good because either the other 1/3 is a steaming pile, or the ‘favourites’ were only marginally favoured/didn’t hit the highs to elevate the album beyond good.
This is speculation btw, but I can see it.
