New deathcore kinda sucks so I've been seeking refuge with this album recently and my god it's a masterpiece. I normally hate clean vocals in this genre but they are utilized so perfectly here and in moderation. This is hands down their best album, they were in the ZONE on this one. An absolute gem, and surprisingly emotional tbh

well you said you found it dull but that it was also the "gold standard", so I figured if I liked it then it would be a good indicator for whether or not I should continue down the path of finding similar bands. so thank you for inspiring me to dig into this genre, whether that was the intended effect or not.
