listened to a fairly recent interview w john today where he says they only seriously started working on the lp earlier this year and theyre trying to strike a balance rn between putting it together as soon as possible and taking enough time for it to be as good as it could be, but either way sounds like 2023 is gonna finally be the year

tell all your friends is the only tbs album that was actually good almost the whole way through. louder now had some great stuff on it too

i just skimmed through all of LN again and man this shit does not hold up in the slightest lol. i get why i used to like it, some of the choruses are really catchy, but it just sounds so bland to me now. i prob feel the same about tell all your friends but i know i still like ghost man on third

louder now has aged better for me than tayf lol needs sleep and brooklyn on it tho. wywtb has also held up better than tayf but tayf still owns and live would be a blast

TAYF would prob sound overly scene and shitty to me now but it was my jam back in hs. LN does sound like the maturer album but a lot of it just kind of blends together to me now going through a lot of these songs again. i used to love spin, error operator, liar and what's it feel like to be a ghost. what's it feel like is still a fucking jam though but the others don't merit much replay value in hindsight

i already know WYWTB doesn't hold up but a decade under the influence is still great.
i wasn't into their last three albums (new again did have a couple good songs iirc tho) so i just totally skipped on this one

I really don't like Thrice anymore. That album is fantastic but I went back to all of their albums earlier this year and outside of a few tracks on vheissu, nothing else by them did anything for me. Their last few albums have all been exceedingly dull
