word. BTBAM comparisons are half bullcrap.
I think I've mentioned it, but the only thing that is remotely close to Between the Buried and Me is the intro to Goddess Gagged.

you're a pretty mean guy, just trying to give you a hand and having just made an account and posting doesn't mean i haven't been on the site for a while
i kinda get how things work like your constantly defensive posts, and impression that this review was badass on poet's "joke" review
Learn how to take some constructive criticism why dontcha

This album really isn't "forgettable" it just flows poorly. Getting past that, I've dug the crap out of "Bone Marrow" this week and am starting to just accept this as a fun album.

Yes, I know that you are the ICP guy. Still doesn't mean you should advise anybody.

Look at his ratings, do you see any ICP?

And that's all you need to know that he isn't the ICP guy. I mean he would definitly make it obvious every time that it is him. Not like he has ever posted under accounts claiming ICP sucked so he could argue with another one of his accounts that said ICP was good. Riiiight? This Message Edited On 07.16.08

I have to point out that you're kind of taking both quotes at the start out of context. Rody's was in relation to Kezia and how it lent itself to adaptation and interpretation far more than Fortress, and he spoke it in response to the onslaught of fans who came up to the band and intellectualized hypothetical scenarios and situations based on the album's lyrics. Arif's quote is entirely unrelated and is just meant to explain the arching theme found on the album. And yeah he really talks like that, it's weird.

Coc-- I see what you're saying, and I'm thinking about taking out the first quote, then. Obviously I don't want to be misinforming people with out of context quotes. I misunderstood and thought "here's the singer saying this is nothing to be intellectualized and then the lyricist giving this absurd quote about some sort of high intellectual concept," but from what you're saying Rody's quote wasn't really contradictory after all.
But I think I should still leave the second quote as a demonstration of what I see as a demonstration of the absurdity of this whole album. Does that sound better?

Well I think Cocaine was even saying that it's not absurd because Arif just talks like that.

I don't really think that was his point at all, rather a passing closing sentence. In any case, without trying to open old wounds, just because he talks crazy all the time doesn't mean it isn't worth pointing out that the guy laid out what I see as this absurd, nonsensical concept behind the album. This Message Edited On 07.16.08

Since when does that have to do with what I said?
^His wailing is so ****ing terrible. It really is. It really sounds like someone parodying terrible metal vocals tbh.
if it sounds like someone parodying metal then that means they would be trying to sound metal. rody doesn't have a "metal" voice at all. it's a big part of protest' catchiness and sound.
