This record seems good, but with your review I am having second thoughts. I personally think the Foo Fighters can pull off acoustic ballads quite well. Skin and Bones was an excellent display of musicianship from the Foo Fighters. Of course, not as in tact as their rocking songs but still they are able to produce nicely composed acoustic audio tracks. This Message Edited On 09.17.07

The Foo's werent that good to begin with. It was all the hype with Dave moving on from Nirvana and into this, so ppl tuned in. Now he is taking the piss. But heck, he is sure as hell funny in The Pick Of Destiny. Outrageous in Tencious D's Tribute!

Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace is an easy 4 for any mainstream rock/alt rock fan.

In Your Honor was a serious disappointment. As was the Foo Fighters. I have to tell someone though, Thor's avatar is the most awesome avatar ever.

I don't know how that single isn't a hit.

"Keep you in the dark...you know they don't...pretend! SEND IN YOUR FAIRY TALES! SING AS THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN! AGAIN!"

Like I said, Foo's are Daves band and still ride the wave. Dave shot to fame after he created Foo's afta Nirvana. He still is, no matter how shite the albums are

I've stopped buying Foo Fighters albums since In Your Honor came out so this isn't a real shocker to me.

I actually don't like "The Pretender" and haven't since the first time I listened to it. It sounds pretty goddamn bland to me. Of course, I'm the kind of guy that thinks that the Foo Fighters crafted the perfect Rock single back in the day and then wrote it over and over again, so what do I know.

this album is fucking terrible.... like... i want to rape my ears with carrots or something..

the only mildly tolerable part was hearing their attempt at a bron-yr-aur (or something like it) with that ballad of the beaconsfield miners or whatever..

Uh? No it doesn't.
It sounds like someone who's been paying attention for the past couple releases.
