I think they take some inspiration from underoath and tdwp, and add some of their own cool guitar riffs and moog melodies to create their sound.
Not toooo origional, but i credit them with being distinct enough that i can easily detect them from other bands. So I guess I like this album... and their new one with johnny.

This EP owned mine and my best friend's life in the Summer of 2007. I just listened to it today. It's so sick. >__<

Agraceful sucks, but so does emarosa now. Seems dance gavin dance was the only band to pull through out of all of this mess.

Agree with the comment above. DGD seems to be the only band that didn't change their style to fit with a new singer. Its hard for me to call the new album Emarosa, since it sounds nothing like it at all. This will always be Emarosa to me. As for Agraceful, well, chris tried haha.

I remember seeing these guys when they were still relatively low-key and still called (what's now
"Utah") "Utah But I'm Taller" as Corsets Are Cages, and miss having Chris doing the vocal/screams for
this band. "Epoch Coda" was such a great song to end the cd with!

Not really a fan, but I liked Utah... It had this really tranquil sound about it...

This is an enjoyable album but it's very very derived and inspried by Underoath (mainly Define the Great Line stuff). if you haven't listened to Underoath you'll probably think this is great, but if you're very familiar with U/O's stuff then this might come across as overly rehashed.

this is worse than their current stuff

Kentucky post-hardcore sextet Emarosa display a lot of potential on their 23 minute EP ‘This Is Your Way Out’. While the screaming vocals aren’t my cup of tea, they do showcase the range of passionate front-man Chris Roetter, who goes from low to high screams and then to clean vocals, often within the same verse! Even more impressive is the way in which the technical dual guitar-work intertwines with the keys/synths to provide an atmospheric soundscape. Add on a cohesive feel & some quality production, and Emarosa have themselves a really strong launching pad here. Recommended Tracks: Utah & Epoch Coda.

"now hes in a shitty christian metalcore band called Agraceful"
Uhh.. This is a Christian band

For some reason I just decided to listen to this for the first time and it's atrocious. It sounds like a knock-off of TDWPs first album...and TDWP wasn't even good back then. That says how bad this is.

This is post hardcore not metalcore , and it doesn't sound like tdwp.
If anything it sounds similar to underoath

yeah, this is metalcore. and I honestly, do not see how this sounds at all like Underoath. It's especially not anything like
DTGL or any album past that.
Just give me one Underoath track to compare this to. I'm just curious because Underoath is my favorite band and this
sounds like total garbage to me.
