Kind of upset that this 2.5 review is the only review on here for this classic album

I honestly think this album is better than Tired Sounds. It's just so well constructed and focused. Of course nothing beats Their Refinement

But Tired Sounds beats refinement. The Atomium is better than refinement too.

Perfect working or sleeping album. Not disparagingly at all. This is excellent sound for thinking.

Been doing both of those to this album for years now. It's one I always come back to for a reason.

this and the ballasted orchestra are my two favorite SOTL albums, I use them to fall asleep often. very enjoyable to drift off the the sounds of the atomium

Do these guys make bad music? This and their next two amaze me

"the atomium part 2" was a college classic

May bump this to a 4.5. Dust Breeding has really grown on me.
My one - *one* - thing about this album is the ending to Atomium 3 kinda kills the theme and mood to me. Every single track here is flawless except for that strange track ending that is meant to close a real righteous build-up.

I Will Surround You might be the best SotL track ever.

This still hasn't really clicked with me, it just feels so empty and uneventful compared to almost everything else they've done.
Still not bad by any means (pretty sure these guys couldn't make a bad album if they wanted to), but probably my least favorite of theirs after Per Aspera.
