One of my all time favourite albums. I remember buying this album at one of the HMV's in Metrotown on a church youth group trip to the lower mainland. I fell in love with it the second that I put it in my diskman. I listened to the whole thing non-stop that whole trip. That was when it was released back in 2003. I am still in awe as to how awesome this album is.

I wish Matt would take his songwriting back in a more progressive, over the top manner, reminiscent of this album. I think his songs benefit from beefed up production and theatrics. Listening to "While We Were Hunting Rabbits" right now and just feeling so immersed. Love it.

Only complaint I can throw against it is there really isnt any sort of album flow here whatsoever, which is pretty much the same with all his solo albums that Ive heard. Still love all the songs though.

Speaking of Matt Good, I just got Beautiful Midnight in the mail but apparently its the US version which has a few Underdogs songs swamped out for album cuts.

Best songs here are Pledge of Allegiance, Weapon, Avalanche, While We Were Hunting, and A Long Way Down I think
