The summary is a play on the band's last album title, and the dark matter of the album. I'll change it if I have to.
If you're replying to my comment here, I myself knew that.

actually, this album does in fact seem to be breaking them into the mainstream, every best buy here in saint louis had a ton of copies on release day, but recently, most of them had very few, or only an average amount left, a few local record stores were selling them fast too.

so either:

A) atmosphere is breaking into the mainstream

B) people are buying the album because of word of mouth/hype

C) there are more closet atmosphere fans than anyone thought existed, and they all came out of the woodwork to get the album.

D) the album title made people want to buy it in stores.

also, if atmosphere wasnt well known in the mainstream, then why did best buy AND circuit city put their new album front and center in the music new releases section of the store AND give them the center of attention in their weekly adds?

Usually Atmosphere albums are overrated. I cant say whether this album is or not because I haven't heard all the songs yet, and Id need to hear it at least five times before making true judgment (which I will do soon)

Oh, and FUCK YEAHH!!!! GO RAPTOR JESUS!!!

They kind of have a Roots vibe going on here and there. I dig it.

I'm disturbed that you think Kanye is one of the best lyricists in the game, but I'll overlook it because this is such a killer album. It really blew me away. Your Glasshouse pretty much knocked me over when I first heard it.

Slug really tells stories with his raps that you don't hear much, and it is ace.

The one big problem I have with this album is the horrible, annoying backbeat on the opening track. It is so incomprehensibly stupid. Beyond that, the structure is a little repetitive, and some of the choruses were questionable.

Overall though, really quality album.

Pretty good on a first listen, and I agree that this is a very strong album lyrically.

Kickass album so far; I'm only about four tracks into it though.
That comment about Kanye and Jedi Mind Tricks made me chuckle. They're better than most of the mainstream, but they aren't exactly the epitome of lyricism.

Y'know, all of you have said something about that, but none of you have mentioned anyone who's better. Apart from Elim and his little Wahlberg fetish.

If you are going for name recognition, Kanye is obviously going to get people to know what you are talking about, but Pharoahe Monch and Talib Kweli are so far more superior that I feel like that is who you should be mentioning if you are actually going to talk about hip-hop.

Yeah, I like Talib, but I've never heard of Pharoahe Monch.
