I was actually reading those before I wrote the review. I didn't quite understand it that much at first, but maybe I'll eventually go back to them and incorporate them into this review.

Yeah, when writing a classical review, it can be a lot easier to just talk about how awesome it sounds instead of the arrangements of the hundreds of instruments used.

So I just read that the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra will be performing the Four Seasons at the end of this month. I would love to go, but I don't think money will allow me to This Message Edited On 05.13.08

That would be pretty cool. Reading this review actually inspired me to add my favorite compilation of classical guitar onto this site, performed by Andres Segovia. It spans 3 discs, Ill review it sometime soon.

huhu, classical guitar. go on reviewing it, I think I'll get this one! I only have a two classical guitar albums yet, both copied from my guitar teacher and I really like both of them, but I'm sure they're by far not the best out there.

Why I love Bach. He was the king of combining excellent bass with ridiculous soloing. This Message Edited On 05.18.08

Kind of late, but listen to Pepe Romero's The Rodrigo Collection. Brilliant.

I got a question about this and classical music in general, is this review aimed at the composition and not the performance? I wanted to pick this up because I remember listening to parts of this when I was way younger and want to get into some classical now. But I'm not sure which performance of this I should get, it seems like there are tons of different ones. Would I be okay with going with just about any of them?

I'd definitely look into the reviews for the different performances. I purchased one of Chopin's piano concertos on CD for real cheap somewhere, and the performer just wasn't very good, also the production sounded like the piano was played in a metal box. I did some research and purchased a different one that was much, much better, even though they were of the same composition.
