2/5? A little IMO. D'You Know What I Mean, My Big Mouth, Stand By Me, and All Around The World are definitely keepers. I think they should've left songs like Magic Pie and Be Here Now as B-Sides and replaced them with The Fame and Stay Young.

I actually liked it,I know the songs we're to long but they we're good. They we're just at their drug taking, driking I don't give a dam moment. They just don't care

IMO this album is just as good as earlier albums. It does have some major faults though. Specifically the Over production, and the orchestra does get a bit annoying. but i really dont agree with your review. Stand by me, Be Here Now, and Don't Go Away are absolute classics.

I reckon Be Here Now was quite an alright album. Sure, it wasn't as good or as tight as Definately Maybe or morning Glory, but what bands wanna keep writing the same old tunes forever, that's why Nickelback are shite. people should get past the first 2 albums and have a look at their last 4, sure they may not be up to the standards of the first 2, but they are all totally different albums, and there are some right gems amongst them....but I love all of Oasis' work, people just need to broaden their range of Oasis' music, get past Wonderwall and listen to Go Let It Out or Importance Of Being Idle This Message Edited On 03.25.06

^^^I totally agree. Wonderwall and Champage Supernova are great, but Oasis really has a bunch of other great tunes, like the two you mentioned. Go Let It Out! is fantastic!

I always thought this album sounded like a combination of Definetly Maybe and What's The Story... it has the raw rock n'roll sound of their debut, with the acoustic and orchestra aspects of WTSMG.

to be fair not as awful as some people say but its far from great there a couple of upbeat songs that u dont mind listening to but most of the songs are pretty poor, it all feels a bit comercial like they were rushed into this by the men in suits . good , but far from great

since adding my comments about this record ive dug it out of my rarely listen pile and have listened to it quite thourougly and where as it is still not a patch on the first two, from a technical perspective, i think it is a great album. noels guitar on fade in-out and stand by me is fantastic and liams vocals have never been better in my opinion but the songs are to long and some of the lyrics are stupid and a bit cheesy

I'm an American, so I probably don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to Oasis, but I still love this album. I like long songs, even if they are repetitive. And I think Magic Pie was a good song. Ah, well, what can you do?

i liked this album though nothing could come close the whats the story morning glory. the only problem i really have with the album is that almost al the songs are very repetitive by the ends

Listening to Be Here Now again. DYKWIM?, still awesome. Seems like I grew less fond of the other songs, though. I'm really loving Be Here Now(the song)and Stand By Me. Great songs.

BTW For those who think that the songs are to long/bloated, I suggest listening to the acoustic versions. Stand By Me is cut down a minute, and DYKWIM? 2 mintues.

i disagree with pretty much all of your ratings, but u did present your case well, so good review, but i don't agree! I think its a great album, and don't realise (like with all of oasis's albums) why it wasn't swallowed well

I am mad for this album, sure it's long and bloated like everyone says, but it's a just representative of how good and free those times were.

Still sounds carefree and fearless today...you can go up to any Oasis fan and ask them what they thought of this album, and no doubt, around 90% of them will say they thought this album owned.

Not bad, this album tends to get a bit too much flak

My Big Mouth is one of my favorite all time Oasis songs

is that a bassline in "It's getting better (man!!)" or a really low guitar part?

This is actually my favourite Oasis album. D'you Know What I Mean is probably my favourite Oasis song, in fact. Try listening to it with headphones on, lying with you eyes shut in your bed. That always helps for me, but not with any other Oasis album.
