At least there's a little more life in the drums instead of the same damn thing in every song.

This albumm has bits and pieces of each of their albums on it. However, it lacks that "grab ya by the nuts" aspect that their other cd's had. LEts just face it, they wont be the same without Kris Norris.

There's no salvation in a world where you worship proven fiction and no redemption for a life of servitude.

i was a bit skeptical at first about D.H. not having Kris Norris. But your absolutely right Mike Carrigan is worthy replacement and it only made me like this band more. Undoing ruin and Deliver Us are still my favorites, but this album shreds more and is heavy as sh!t .. a worthy addition to the collection. After 6 albums, Darkest Hour has yet to disappoint.

someguest is back! Yaaaay.
Also album rocks face even though it's not as good as Deliver Us.

This is just as good as Deliver Us imo. It doesn't have as many highlights, but it's more consistent as a whole.

Great album, like everyone else I was a little worried about Kris leaving but its like they didn't miss a beat. I still prefer Kris's style tho, I haven't quite picked any favorites at the moment. I will come back after some more listens.

hard to rank them after those 4. I really love Bitter despite it only being a minute long.

the solo in the tides is so good. holy shit.

Was about to post the same, holy fuck that solo is mindboggling.

this is fucking badass. was hoping for another "Tunguska"-esque melodic epic, but still, i'm impressed. i was worried about kris' departure, but i think the new guy, while a little different, is still pretty awesome. on my third listen, and i'm digging "no god" "the tides" and "blessed infection" the most so far.

I havent been this satisfied with DH since I first heard Hidden Hands. When Undoing Ruin came out,
although I enjoyed the album, it sounded like DH had let their sound become dominated by the metalcore
that was crowding airwaves. While Undoing Ruin was a solid effort, it was missing some key element of
the DH sound. Deliver Us was decent, but there was nothing outstanding about it.
This album however, brings back some of the crushing riffs that have been absent on the last few
albums, while keeping up with the technical mastery that they showed on Undoing Ruin. They manage to
show their hardcore roots and incorporate the melo-death that they've perfected over the years. Great
job guys.
