I'm actually kind of surprised you dig this, Wizard. Then again, I guess it's pretty fitting. Great album. Aridity is probably my favorite off this album...but Monolith is well, exactly that...
Despite how they use more high end on this album, it's definitely a darker album I think. They mess around with some new vocal styles too (the bassist in particular) which are pretty refreshing...

I was going to say, I eat this stuff up for breakfest, lunch and dinner.

Agreed in full. I was thinking of mentioning something about the different vocal styles but I felt this album needs to be reviewed as a whole rather than separate details.

Definitely. Glad to see I'm not the only one who actually enjoys them, haha. I hope they come around to D.C/Northern Virginia soon...pretty pissed that they split up the last tour they were on with WITTR/Mayhem amongst MDF. Only went for a day and ended up missing them..

about 7 mins in on "The Mountain" rules. as do riffs here and there etc. but it's just too long and drawn out. i feel myself wondering when each track is going to end.

They're not long if you enjoy them hahahaha. This is hard to get into I will admit. Think of it like this; follow the guitar noodling patterns (yes, there are many huge patterns throughout) and this might just take you on a wild rollercoaster.

They have "Energy Chasms" on Youtube which is off their older album. Best song by them imo. If you can't get into that song, you won't like this.
