This mix I made got stuck in my car CD player, so I swear I listened to "Ramble On" 3 times a day this summer. I love it. The best part is the bass line. "Thank You" and "What Is and What Should Never Be" are incredible songs too.

Mainstream doesn't mean "played on the radio a lot"
Word.

Mainstream really means "liked by many or all" in my humble opinion.
Moby Dick=*dribbles thinking about stupedousness*
Best Led Zep album, full stop.

^To an extent yes, but then you get bands like say for example "King Crimson" who have a masssive cult/underground following somewhat, and that doesnt mean they are mainstream by any means, to make a long story short, a large following doesnt always mean mainstream.

Heart Breaker and Lemon Song are two amazing songs. Zeppelin 1 and 2 are some of their best works.
|

Not the best but definitely a less mainstream record with strong songs. I like the whole album except one song. Thank You. This is probably due to the fact that Limp Bizkit covered this song.

Wow, The Beatles better than Led Zeppelin? Thats the funniest thing i've heard all week...

Zep sound a bit dated to me. Well, at least the vocals do. I like them nonetheless, but I find it hard to give any classic ratings. So what does mainstream mean then? I agree, Zep are better than The Beatles, as well.

I thought I should educate you all on the famous "wierd part" of whole lotta love. It is meant to symbolize sex in song form. Plant is moaning and moaning, until page starts his solo which symbolizes the orgasm.
my fav zeppelin album of all time. God I love moby dick. Bonham must have went through 40 drumsets perfecting it.

An amazing album, but this review does not really describe the power of the music itself and just seems to go through what happens in the song. Try to include more detail about the emotional aspect of the album, instead of what you just hear.

There are few opening riffs so awesome as Whole Lotta Love's. No matter how often I've heard it, it gets me every time. Perfect start of the album.
