Some parts blend a little too much at times, but that also could be just the not-so-great sound quality of the leak I'm listening to. It's a solid album either way though.

I just gave this a first listen. Haven't read your review yet, I will after I have listened to this once more...
I love the concept. But most important, it sounds like they finally stepped up their songwriting and overall pacing on this album.

Great review; pos'd. Listened to this straight through three times now and I am just blown away. Surpasses their past material in every way (and I LIKED their past stuff lol). Might do a review if it doesn't get any more.

I enjoyed NJ's first two albums, Redeemer and Meridional didn't click with me though.

Holy shit this rules. I love old Norma Jean, so this is really doing it for me.
The beginning of The Heavens sounds like a demonic football game lol.

This is bouncing around a 3, 3.5 for me. Probably a 3.5 because I love the angular production ethic.

I'm somewhere around a 3.5-4, this is definitely the best I've heard from these guys

also, as far as comparisons to new Underoath go, it's probably too early to tell for me (but I'm not a huge Underoath fan, I like them, just not really crazy about them). but I can easily see myself wanting to listen to this one more often.
